I’ll just come out and say it, I’m in LOVE LOVE LOVE with this Cinnamon White Hot Chocolate!
When it comes to hot chocolate this holiday season I’m trading in my love for dark chocolate and instead shaking things up a bit with the often over looked, but still incredibly delicious, white chocolate. And it is simply the best!
This Cinnamon White Hot Chocolate is creamy, sweet, and it has a tad bit of cinnamon and cardamon spice which really makes it extra dreamy. Topped of course with mini marshmallows. Because… its hot chocolate. And you MUST I highly encourage you to have marshmallows in your hot chocolate!
You must also serve your Cinnamon White Hot Chocolate in your favorite mug. I love how holiday and even everyday mugs can have a story to them. This burgundy mug shown here I affectionately call my, “FRIENDS” mug. This mug is a little over 15 years old and was gifted to me by my parents when I was obsessed with the television show, Friends. It very much has that Central Perk type style. Those that are fans of the show, do you remember all of the wide, bright and colorful mugs? This is totally that style. RECIPE NOTE
This dreamy Cinnamon White Hot Chocolate can also easily be made dairy free. I personally opt for dairy free alternatives most of the time so when I make this recipe I use unsweetened coconut milk and let me tell you it is SO SO good!! I have however not made it with almond milk though so I can’t speak to how it turns out but I have a tough time imagining that it wouldn’t turn out great.
- 24 ounces whole milk unsweetened coconut milk tastes great too!
- 6 squares (each square is .5 oz.) white Giregellihi chocolate
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon cardamon
- mini marshmellow for serving
- pinch cinnamon for serving
- pinch cardamon for cerving
- In a small sauce pan over low heat, heat the chocolate until just melted. Careful not to burn the chocolate.
- Turn heat up to medium/low and stir in the milk until everything is smooth and chocolate is completely melted.
- Stir in cinnamon and cardamon.
- Serve in desired mug and top with marshmallows and extra cinnamon and cardamon.
